ECDI supports early childhood development for African families in West Africa and Toronto. Led by Patricia Falope, the program offers workshops, learning resources, and culturally relevant education for parents of children aged 0–12.
Under a Red Cross grant, I collaborated with a developer to update ECDI’s main website and build a second site dedicated to online learning, using Moodle. The long-term recommendation was to eventually integrate both into one unified digital hub.
Key contributions included:
Researched early childhood education models, African learning pathways, and online platform options
Co-developed a tiered implementation plan aligned with ECDI’s budget
Edited and structured content across both websites for improved clarity and flow
Designed and integrated a course creation database in Moodle
Learned and applied Divi Builder and Moodle to build both sites
Created basic launch assets (poster, Instagram & Facebook visuals)
Designed tablet app icons and user instructions to support device access for families
